At My Personal K9, we are dedicated to enriching the lives of both dogs and their human companions. We prioritize the profound bond between dogs and their handlers while ensuring the highest standards of safety and emotional support for those in need. Kristi's impressive background and accolades add significant credibility to our training facility, and we take pride in offering a truly unique, home-like environment for the dogs. We invite you to embark on the extraordinary journey of finding a once-in-a-lifetime dog.

Service Dogs

Our Service Dog Program is a cornerstone of our organization, reflecting our deep commitment to enhancing the lives of individuals who rely on these exceptional animals. We take great pride in witnessing the profound impact our service dogs have on their owners, whether by assisting with physical tasks or offering vital emotional and psychiatric support. We refer to our service dogs as "unicorn" dogs, a testament to their unique qualities and the special bonds they form with those they assist. To ensure the highest standards of training and care, we accept only twelve dogs per year into our program. Our focus is on providing service dogs specifically trained to meet the needs of individuals requiring physical assistance or psychological support. Through our dedicated efforts, we aim to empower those we serve, enhancing their daily lives through the invaluable companionship of a service dog.

Personal Protection Dogs

We uniquely focus on training personal protection dogs for victims of violent crimes, individuals in abusive relationships, or anyone who requires additional safety while navigating daily life. As a woman- and military veteran-owned business, we understand and empathize with the security and protection needs of other women. The personal protection dog industry is male dominated, but we stand out by offering protection dogs that are safe for women to handle and are well-suited for families and children. We understand the importance of a well balanced dog that will be gentle enough with a small child but tough enough to handle a threat or dangerous situation.

Therapy Dogs

Our Therapy Dog Program is specifically designed for professionals seeking to incorporate a therapeutic element into their practice. We have successfully trained numerous dogs for individuals working in the mental health field. These specially trained dogs accompany their handlers to work and participate in client sessions, providing invaluable emotional support throughout the therapeutic process. Our therapy dogs are adept at remaining calm and composed, whether sitting quietly in place or in a crate during sessions with clients who may prefer to engage without a dog present. The positive impact of therapy dogs in therapeutic settings has been overwhelmingly successful, and we strongly encourage practitioners interested in enhancing their services to consider integrating a therapy dog into their practice.
